Eligibility Criteria for PWWF Announces Scholarships And COMSATS

The labor department worker must meet the following requirements:

1. The worker must meet the definition of a worker as stated in the Industrial Relations Act of 2010.

2. The worker must possess a valid social security card.

3. The worker must have a minimum of 1 year of work experience in a factory registered under the Factories Act of 1934 or Mines Act of 1923.

4. An organization will be considered a factory if it meets the definition of a factory as stated in the Workers’ Welfare Fund Ordinance of 1971 or the Companies’ Profit Workers Participation Act of 1968.

Additionally, children of deceased or disabled workers are eligible to apply for this scholarship if the worker or miner was deceased or disabled during service, registered under the EOBI or Social Security, and if their widow or legal heir received a Death Grant from the Punjab Workers’ Welfare Board or receives a pension from the EOBI or Social Security.

Furthermore, the worker or miner, as well as their child seeking admission, should not have been involved in any illegal activity or criminal proceedings.

1. The identification card or Family Registration Certificate issued by NADRA is a document that verifies the student’s identity and family details.

2. A certificate of good behavior and a proof of employment as a laborer or miner are required documents.

4. In the unfortunate event of the worker or miner’s death or incapacitation, documentation for a Death Grant or Disability Pension is necessary.

5. The scholarship can be extended for a maximum of eight semesters or the duration of the student’s relevant degree program.

6. If a student needs to retake a course or semester, they must deposit the fees as per the rules and regulations of CIIT.
